1 first heard from Rusty Feathers when he' called for information
about the 2nd Annual Cowboy Entertainer Gathering we held here
in Townsend, Montana. As he had such an interest in Cowboy Poetry,
I invited him to come to the Cowboy Poets of Idaho gathering
in St. Anthony, ID.
When 1 heard Rusty perform, 1 knew we had another "great
one" in the group! His naturally friendly demeanor comes out
very well on stage. Everyone in the audience is his friend as soon
as he starts to talk.
Rusty Feathers is one of those who accomplishes one of our objectives:
that of keeping the tradition of storytelling alive with his natural
ability to not only write the words on paper, but deliver them
in such a personal manner that the audience is captivated from
the beginning.
His original poetry is what we are looking for at any of these
gatherings. He has some to make you laugh and some to make you
cry. All of his material will entertain!
Rusty puts his life's experience into the poetry he performs and
you can tell he's writing about real life. Either he's "been
there, done that" or knows somebody who has.
If you have an opportunity to bring Rusty to your show or event,
don't miss it!
You'll find him to be one of the best.
